Unit History

Organized at Wheeling, Clarksburg and Morgantown July 10 to November 25, 1861. Present at Surrender of Lee and his army. March to Washington, D.C., May. Grand Review May 23. Mustered out July 8, 1865.

Regiment lost during service 10 Officers and 71 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 126 Enlisted men by disease. Total 207.
